Wet weather conditions may affect your trip to the landfill and transfer stations as conditions can change quickly.

The landfills and transfer stations are subject to temporary closure due to safety reasons. Lightning and extremely muddy conditions can make your trip hazardous. If you have any questions regarding the status of the landfill facility, please call 740-3340 Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Locations and Hours of Operation

Tangerine Landfill

10220 W. Tangerine Road

Take I-10 to Tangerine Road (exit 240). Go west approximately 1 mile. The landfill is at the end of the road.

Effective March 29, 2009 - Gates open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday (except all County Holidays).

Sahuarita Landfill

16605 S. La Canada

Take I-19 south to Sahuarita Road (exit 75). Go west on Helmet Peak Rd. to La Canada. Go south on La Canada approximately 1 mile. The landfill is on the east side of the road.

Effective March 29, 2009 - Gates open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday (except all County Holidays).

Ina Road Landfill

On the south side of Ina Road, approximately ½ mile west of I-10.

Effective March 29, 2009 - Gates open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday (except all County Holidays).

Catalina Transfer Station

14425 N. Oracle Road

Take Oracle Road (Highway 77) approximately 3 miles north of Tangerine Road. The transfer station is the red-roofed building on the west side of the road.

Effective March 29, 2009 - Gates open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday through Saturday (except all County Holidays).

Ryan Field Transfer Station

6455 S. Continental Road

Take Ajo Way (US 86), approximately ¼ mile west of Ryan Airfield to Continental Road. Turn right.

Ajo Landfill

Well Road

Approximately 1½ miles northeast of downtown Ajo, Arizona. Go east approximately 1¼ miles on State Route 85 to Well Road. Go north on Well Road 1 mile.

Effective March 15, 2009 - Gates open from:	9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday	(except all County Holidays).
	7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday
	8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday
	9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday
