Pima County Solid Waste Management Community Cleanup Program
Pima
County Solid Waste Management (SWM) established the Community
Cleanup Program to assist neighborhood groups in cleaning
up solid waste.
The Community Cleanup Program is a service that is afforded
to neighbors who want to beautify their area of Pima County
in accordance
with the procedures and rules described herein. This program
is not intended to replace routine vegetation cleanup activities
that are normally performed by individual property owners in
the County, such as: tree or cactus removal; cutting and trimming;
weeding; similar landscaping activities and generated solid
waste materials.
The program, available to residential neighborhood groups,
provides roll-off container drop-off and pickup service for
one-day cleanup
events. Refuse that has been placed in the roll-off by the
group is removed from the neighborhood by County staff and
disposed
in a municipal solid waste landfill. This service is presently
provided at no cost, provided the attached application is completed
and the group conforms to the program procedures and rules.
