Summary: PDEQ periodically updates and conforms to the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) in an effort to achieve consistency and accuracy in Title 17 of the Pima County Code. PDEQ is adopting new and updated incorporations by reference of the following federal regulations: Acid Rain, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP), New Source Performance Standards (NSPS), and other parts of Title 40 of the CFR. PDEQ's intention in updating the incorporations by reference is to continue its delegated authority from EPA to implement these programs in Pima County.

Summary: The activity permit rules will be amended to allow the option for sources to obtain a single permit that authorizes multiple activities per project site rather than obtaining numerous permits for the same site.  This permit will be categorized as a Multiple Activity Permit (MAP).
