Tucson, Arizona (March 12, 2008) – Greater Tucson Leadership and the Pima County Board of Supervisors are hosting the annual State of the County Luncheon and Expo on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 11:30 am in the Tucson Convention Center Grand Ballroom. The cost of the luncheon is $40 per person or $375 for a table of ten. Reservations for the State of the County luncheon can be made by going online at www.TucsonLeadership.org. The theme of this year’s event is “People, Programs, Progress.” As in years past, each member of the Pima County Board of Supervisors will be presenting a "Partnership Award" to community members in recognition of their efforts to improve our community. The State of the County video played during the luncheon will highlight special projects in each Supervisory District that emphasize the progress made in Pima County’s many programs to improve the quality of life for those living in Pima County. A State of the County Expo will emphasize the services and special projects provided to the public by over 29 different Pima County departments. The Expo is free and will be open to the public from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and will be located in the Grand Lobby and Galleria outside the Grand Ballroom at the Tucson Convention Center.
The annual State of the County event is hosted by Greater Tucson Leadership (GTL). Funds generated by the event go toward leadership programs and other GTL activities. The mission of GTL is to inspire, develop and promote leadership in Greater Tucson.
