Tucson, Arizona (April 19, 2007) – Greater Tucson
Leadership and the Pima County Board of Supervisors are hosting
the annual State of the County Luncheon and Expo on Friday, May
4, 2007 at 11:30 am in the Tucson Convention Center Grand Ballroom.
The cost of the luncheon is $40 per person or $400 for a table
of ten. If you are a member of Greater Tucson Leadership, the
cost is discounted. Reservations for the State of the County
luncheon can be made by going on line at www.TucsonLeadership.org.
Seating is limited.
The theme of this year’s event is “Sustaining a
Livable Community.” Each member of the Pima County Board
of Supervisors will be presenting a "Partner Award" to
community members to recognize their efforts to improve our community.
The State of the County video will highlight special projects
in each Supervisory District that emphasize Pima County’s
role in sustaining a livable community. A State of the County
Expo will emphasize the services and special projects provided
to the public by over 20 different Pima County departments. The
Expo is free and will be open to the public from 11:00 a.m. to
2:00 p.m. and will be located in the Grand Lobby and Galleria
outside the Grand Ballroom at the Tucson Convention Center. New
this year are workshops to be held just prior to the luncheon
that are designed to educate neighborhood associations about
county services that support neighborhood improvement, safety,
energy and water conservation, and will provide information on
other programs available to community members. Call 791-4010

The annual State of the County event is hosted by Greater Tucson
Leadership (GTL). Funds generated by the event go toward leadership
programs and other GTL activities. The mission of GTL is to inspire,
develop and promote leadership in Greater Tucson.
